JWPlayer 7 and Internet Explorer 11: "No Playable Sources Found"

When using Internet explorer 11 I get an error with JW player saying no playable sources found but same page works on chrome Safari and Firefox

I need the player to work across all browsers as advertised. We have many older viewers who only use Internet Explorer.

Hi, there.

As Mark said, the stream is working as expected for me in IE 11.0.9600.17420 on Windows 7 SP1.

Please let me know if you need any more help or have any other questions.

Thank you!

It may be playing now due to @nathan having switched the player back to JW6...

I placed his stream into a test page using JW7 and it still plays in IE11 just fine.

OK So I got IE Explorer 11 to work, I think there was an issue with my theme's CSS.

However, IE 9 is incompatible. (Many of our district's computers run Windows 7 with IE 9 Enterprise) Are there known compatibility issues with that version?

http://qa.jwplayer.com/~abussey/ie11-test.html -
video not working in IE 11 (11.0.9600) Windows 7 64 . I met this problem a year ago and in all ver.

I found that the problem is appear when we use "file:" parameter in player code to point the source (stream or smil file).
If you use "playlist:" and RSS file - IE show the source without error - example: http://77.221.150.179/live/ibro/ibro.html

Do somebody know how to bypass this problem?

I made the experiment - the error in IE 11 "No playable sources found" - if the source protocol is rtmp in source URI.
Using of http protocol removes this error.

Can anyone provide a clear explanation of what to do when the IE11 errors appear? Is the issue with CSS? If so, what is it? Thanks, Eric

The stream tester has been and continues to work for me in IE 11. Do any errors get outputted to the console? Have you tried clearing the browser cache? Have you made sure your Flash plugin for IE is updated?

Thanks Alex.
It's is because of missing Flash player. But if it requires Flash, then it should prompt for Flash player to install. That is not happening or is there any setting to prompt message?

There is no built-in functionality in our player to alert a viewer to download Flash. However, it is possible with some JavaScript and CSS. You can see an example of this on this page.

Please let me know if you need any more help or have any other questions.

Thank you!
