How is the size of strips for vtt determined?

I use strips for the timebar and for capitel preview thumbs. The default width of 120px is fine. I found with trial and error that there is a second strips with 320px width. Is it customizable to create theses strips, or what determine the width of it?

We indeed render 120 and 320 thumbnail strips, but no other resolutions. The 120 is used as previews in the player, the 320 is used in the dashboard for selecting the poster image.

If you are interested in other resolutions, let us know, but include your use case so we can assess!

It is ok in the moment wie use the bigger one for chapter preview in an own video chapter menu. We take the snapshot from next image after chapter start time. To use it for the Chaptermenu.
But we couldn't found any documentation to the strips size. A nice feature would be, that these size can be configured in the template settings, for bigger Chapter previews, which are not needed in the most use cases.
