At http://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1439570-example-loading-new-playlists and at http://heustess.com/films.htm if you try to load a new playlist without first clicking the main player, the player controls do not fade until they are moused over!
I used focus() and then blur() on my player in my function and all seems to be working now with the controls fading without mousing over or clicking the main player.
The focus() and blur() fixed the problem at http://heustess.com/films.htm
Maybe this can be fixed in 7.0.2 so these steps are unnecessary.
