"Unknown CC" appears with JW7 Flash mode captions

I'm trying out the new JW7 player. I noticed in Flash mode, I'm now getting an "Unknown CC" item in addition to my English subtitles from my SRT file. The MP4 file does have embedded subtitles so they are available in the native player on Apple devices (in full screen). If I remove the embedded subtitle track from the MP4 file, then the "Unknown CC" item is gone. So I assume JW7 player is seeing the MP4 subtitle track and displaying it as "Unknown CC" in addition to my SRT English track.

This doesn't seem to happen if I use HTML5 as primary.

Is there any way to remove the "Unknown CC" item and have it display like JW6 in Flash mode, ignoring the MP4 embedded caption track?

I submitted this to product as a bug ticket — I don’t have an estimate on when this will be fixed, however.

Can you please provide your code or a link to your demo so I can replicate the issue?

Hi,

Did some troubleshoot with this — looks to be a flash-only bug. You’ll see that in html5 mode (using an mp4, not smil), the extra Unknown option doesn’t show up.

Best Regards,

Yeah, that's what I discovered as well. It works as expected in Flash mode with JW6. Will this be fixed soon in JW7?
