Thumbnails Tooltip - without the use of WebVTT ?

Hi,

Is it possible to setup the thumbnails directly via Javascript ? I dont like to make an extra server request for a WebVTT file every time someone loads a player ? It seems kind of wastefull, especially when we are already serving thousands of requests per second.

If possible, how ? If not possible, why ? :)
