Video orientation problem in browser

Hi..

Some videos have the orientation problem, the videos are playing sideways in Mozilla and the same is playing correctly in Chrome. I used ffmpeg code to rotate the video then its playing sideways in Chrome and the same is playing correctly on Mozilla and IE. Why its happening like that? Please give me a solution.

You’re probably seeing Chrome playing the videos in HTML5 mode, and Flash mode in the other browsers. As for why one is rotated and the others not, I am not sure.

Please make sure you are using these settings in your encoding: http://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1403635-media-format-reference#video/.

I'm also having this issue where Chrome correctly plays a portrait ratio video correctly, whereas Firefox plays it sideways. Any reason for this?

You can force the player to flash mode — this way the playback is consistent across all browsers. I also recommend that you try re-encoding your video because it seems to rotate in the HTML5 video tag.
