No sound on Galaxy S3

Hi!

I have strange problem... any help would be appreciated!

Video using JWPlayer : http://mondev.ccdmd.qc.ca/ressource/?id=48322
Direct link to video : http://mondev.ccdmd.qc.ca/media/video360/48322.mov

Video with JWPlayer works well on many mobiles :
- IPhone 6
- IPad
- Google Nexus One

But on Galaxy S3 using the JWPlayer interface there is no sound for one of the user.

I asked the user to open the video directly (second link) and in Chrome the user report that everything works fine including the sound.

This is the info from ffmpeg -i :

Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from '48322.mov':

Could it be a problem with the frequency of the audio track (16000Hz)?

Thanks in advance!!

Richard

Just as an experiment, what happens if you simply run the video through Handbrake, default options plus check "Web optimized?" (That will yield an MP4.)

Hi!

I found the problem : I re-encoded with an audio track of 44100 Hz and the sound is now working!

Thanks for your help!

That's an interesting tidbit of information to stash away for future reference! Thanks for sharing.
