retina screen is pixelating 2x image

i am working on a new project, you may see it at http://www.drotardesign.com/test/index.html

as you can see, it works perfectly on the desktop computers. however, on the retina screen the poster for the video ("JOHN BEHRING "MONTAGE REEL") is pixelated.

i have used a high def photo, twice the normal size, but it still pixelates when viewing on an ipad.

is there a work around for this?

Have you attempted to use a standard sized image file here? I am seeing the issue described, but I am also having my iPad air crash and restart when zoomed in+scrolling on this page. Just curious if the styling on this page is functioning correctly in this scenario.
