HLS live stream lag on Windows 8.1 + Chrome

Hello JW team,

We get complains that HLS live stream has some strange lag if JWplayer is used with Windows 8.1 device + Chrome browser, it happens with all JW versions I've tried (6.4, 6.11, 6.12). This particular problem never noticed on other devices or browsers.

Did anyone complained about similar problems?

I could provide you a link and login data (content is not available for public) to my project if you would give me some private email so you could test it yourself (I would send it for You).

We have not received complaints regarding your particular environment Windows 8.1 device + Chrome. The lag could simply be because of the high bandwidth of your HLS stream -

I recommend using Apple’s `mediastreamvalidator` tool (https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/technotes/tn2235/_index.html) to check the integrity of your stream.

For creating your HLS streams, we recommend that your segment durations are around 10 seconds each, and that keyframing is done every 4 seconds.
