hd toggle button on iphone: does not display.

Hello, i have a mp4 video, 2 qualities with a toggle hd button, embedded with jwplayer in a wordpress site. Works fine with desktop browsers ( chrome firefox safari tested) and android mobile but on iphone devices the hd button simply does not display.
may i have to change something in the embedding code? thank you
