Adaptative streaming seek problem

I'm trying to set up adaptative streaming from Wowza. I've create the smil file with two mp4 files (576 and 720).

The player starts the video ok and displays the little quality button, but seeking doesn't work;

- on Chrome the sounds changes, but the image is frozen
- on ipad nothing happens

I tried to hint the mp4 files with mp4box, no change.

It works ok, including seeking, with vlc.

Note: on the ipad, after a few minutes, I see a big QT icon with the sound
