Error Loading Plugin: Plugin file not found

Hello, I work in the IT department at a school district. We are trying to view the Pittsburgh Bald Eagle Camera on PixController.com which uses a 6.11.4923 ad edition player by JW. I have not been able to get any troubleshooting advice from Pixcontroller because I think our filter is blocking the ads (a good thing for us but the video never starts). I'm trying to find if there is a site I can add to our allow list so the live stream will play. We can view the archives because that player does not use ads. I confirmed it is not a browser issue. I used multiple browsers and live feed sites all with the same problem. Yesterday at my house, I used my chrome browser with the exact same settings and the video loaded correctly.

Thanks for any help you can provide,

Carol Persin

Hi Carol,

Our VAST.js plugin is the item that needs to be accessed, so you’ll need to allow http://p.jwpcdn.com access. Let me know if this helps!

Andrew, Thank you for your help. Unfortunately we still cannot get it to work. We added it to our Sonicwall filter and had multiple people test it in different browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome on both a mac and PC) still no luck. Any other troubleshooting advice? JW Player 5.10.2295 (licensed) will play just fine. Still cannot get 6.11.4923 Ads edition to work.

Do you happen to have a link to a particular site where this is an issue?

Sorry to have not included that initially! IT Fail!

Hmm the only other suggestion I can make is https://jwpsrv.com here. Are there any additional console/network messages showing up here that could point to the file being blocked?

Hi Andrew,

Having a similar problem trying to access the player through
WildEarth. They are connected to the Pixcontroller cameras.
WildEarth has a main page where various cameras can be accessed and viewed. (WildEarth.TV) Pixcontroller cameras are on this page. Look for "view more cams" on the right that will show all the cams. Pix cam is way down the list.
As of a few days ago (worked fine before that), I have not been able to access any of the cameras. Page loads and then in the middle of the view screen is "Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found" I did have Adblock on my computer but when this happened - shut it off. Didn't help. Uninstalled it. Didn't help. Got rid of everything on the computer pertaining to Adblock. Cleaned the registry. Even did a "restore" back to where it was working. Still nothing. Worked with an IT guy for about 2 hrs. trying everything we could think of. Still will not work. Same message as above on all the cams, including the Pix one.
Using Firefox (latest) - has always worked fine. Oh, also will not work on "www.wildsafarilive.com". That one is also connected to WildEarth. JW player 6.11.4923 (Ads Edition).
I have no other ad blocking software installed. Private home user - I repeat - user.

Please help! Will start new thread if you want. Since this was related to Pix, thought I would start here.

Thanks,
PC

P.S Andrew,

Can access the cams on this computer through ustream. Other computer CAN access it through WildEarth, so it's something that's happened only on this computer, only with the player through WildEarth.

Thanks again,
PC
