YouTube Embeding with JWPlayer Legal Issues

We got a letter today from a big media company saying that many of their YouTube videos are being infringed because the JWplayer control bar menu is covering the YouTube logo (we are using YouTube direct links and the JWplayer). For the control bar menu we are using Skin Five and there is no way to place the control bar with any of the skins below the video.
They are demanding that we remove the JWplayer from our site or face legal ramifications.
Please advise, this is really troubling for us.

A technical support forum is probably not the place to be getting legal advice.

The claim is a bit puzzling. The controlbar should fade out after a few seconds, though there's a bug that's currently preventing that from happening reliably. And I don't understand what claim this media company has on the YouTube logo - that's owned by YouTube.

The safe thing to do, of course, is to embed YouTube videos directly, without using JW Player.

I used this forum as a last resort because I have emailed directly several times to the JWPlayer team in the hopes of advice, but no one has replied to me. On older versions of the Player you were able to set the control bar below the video zone, so my question is in fact technical in the sense that I am looking for a work around or hack to set the control bar below the video zone and avoid possible legal issues.

Well, in the current version of JW Player, there's no option to place the control bar below the video frame, and AFAIK, that's not one of the improvements to be included in 6.12. I've never even seen a hack that would accomplish that.

Thanks for taking the time to post here, you are the only one that have even bother to reach out to me. It would have been nice if 6.12 would have offer something of this nature.

We have many customers that use our player with YouTube videos. This is the first I’ve heard of anyone that has been asked by Google to remove YouTube videos from our player.
