onPlay isn't fired consistently in IE10 / jw version 6.11

The onPlay event is not being fired consistently in Internet Explorer 10. Oddly it works in IE 9 and in IE 11, but not in IE 10. Also works in Chrome, FF.

Here's a test link: http://buladean.com/jw6/ie10.html

If you use IE 10 and press play button (either the one on the video element, or the form button "Play"), the video changes to the poster image, the controls change from play to paused state, but it doesn't actually play. If you click on it again, or use the seek bar, the video starts to play normally.

Try it in any other browser and you'll see the difference.

JWPlayer 6.11. (Note: we are a licensed customer, see my email address for our company name)

Hi,
Are you doing this within a virtual machine or on an actual computer? There are a few oddities that occur with IE and VMs that I have seen. Trying to replicate these on actual machines seems to yield no results.

I have a test machine with Windows 8.0 and IE 10 installed. I just tested your URL and it works correctly on my machine. Hope that helps!

Hi,
Which URL of mine was tested? Sorry, a bit unclear. :)

Well, we have reports from clients that are using real machines (on the client side), mostly IE10 on Windows 7. I have tested with VMs on my side (I have no other way to get a "real" IE10), and I get the same results.

Actually the bad behavior seems to be exactly the same as an IE9 bug that was fixed between jw 6.10 and jw 6.11. Clicking play doesn't actually start the video. It works in IE9 now (and also IE 11) on windows 7, but not in IE10. Our clients have real IE 10/Win 7 machines, but I am testing on Modern.ie's IE10 VIrtualBox appliance.

I would appreciate if you would try the link I sent in IE 10 / Windows 7, and see what your results are. As it stands, this is a blocker for us, so I don't have the option of telling clients that "they say it works".

I can't really tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but I think dbreit means my url: http://buladean.com/jw6/ie10.html

I have noticed that it appears to be worse after a reload the page (like an F5). Then you press play and the play button turns to pause, but the video doesn't start. Clicking on play again twice will start the video.

Guess I'll look somewhere else for an answer.
