Middle roll for LIVE stream & delay

Hello,

I'm currently evaluating a potential of JW-player in video advertisement field. My target is set pre-roll and middle-rolls for a live Youtube stream. Although a pre-roll works fine, for a middle-roll there is a concern. If middle-roll is configured, the player pauses the stream at some point, plays the ad and continues from the point it paused. It leads to increasing lag between current watching moment and the up-to-date content of live stream. Is there any possibility to configure skip of some portion of the content before resuming and continue from up-to-date point of live stream ?

Hi Dmitry,

I’m afraid that there is no way to configure this type of behavior. In fact, showing ads with YouTube embeds is not recommended. YouTube reserves the right to place ads anywhere inside of their content, and it’s difficult to keep up with their embedding API.
