HLS Streaming Problems

Hi I am having problems viewing HLS content created by apple compressor.

I have a hello world type script running on MAMP and the poster frame and fallback .mp4 video works fine however when I try run an .m3u8 file... Nothing! if I open the file directly in VLC they file plays fine proving the links to the playlist and .ts content. and I have the following mime types added to the web server:-

application/x-mpegURL m3u8
video/mp2t ts

I have tried to playback the file on OSX in Chrome and Safari. I have also tried on Linux using Chrome and Firefox to no avail. And flash is installed...

Do you have any ideas where I might be going wrong?

Do you have a link to where this is running? Also, is this running with a premium or higher subscription?
